Nicole Toesca

I love photography for its artistic possibilities, and for its power to preserve a child's smile for later generations. My photograph of a spontaneous moment between boy and cat does just that; an admirer called it "pure joy".

Canadian photographer and writer Freeman Patterson, who pioneered photo impressionism, and Joe Miller, who taught me the essence of visual design, strongly influence how I photograph. I formally studied photography, including darkroom at the Smithsonian Institution in Washington, D.C.

With my family's medieval village of Saorge as base, I photograph extensively in Italy, France and Monaco.  You'll see the first two photographs in the Monaco Grand Prix Series that capture the  F1's as they hit the chicane.

Awards include several at San Diego's Annual International Exhibitions of Photography and being named a "Featured Artist" of San Diego's ArtWalk 2004. I exhibit solo and with the highly regarded PhotoArts Group and Digital Art Guild of San Diego.

I am a member of the American society of Media Photographers (ASMP) http://asmp.org/ , and I also offer pet and people portraiture;  small product photography; and photography of artwork for artists, including giclee printing.

These photographs make wonderful gifts for friends and family and are handsome  accessories for home or office decor; many hang in private and public collections in the U.S. and Europe.  I am very pleased and privileged to be able to share them with you.
